The settings change tonight as three series continue. Home court might inspire Dallas to another huge upset, and it’s now or never for the Rockets. Injuries are a huge factor in both those matchups.
Stephen Curry $10400 (ankle) sounds doubtful to play, so once again Klay Thompson $7400 and Draymond Green $9400 will lead the Warriors. Assuming he starts again, Shaun Livingston $4100 is the best value, with Andre Iguodala $3900 and Andrew Bogut $4200 also attractively priced.
James Harden $10600 was much better in Game Two and Dwight Howard $6400 is the top center on the board, but Houston needs everyone else to step up a notch. Patrick Beverley $5000, Trevor Ariza $5700 and Jason Terry $2600 all got extended minutes as they went small in Monday’s 9-point defeat.
$18,000 Contest Free To New Users
The $18K Sharpshooter is only a $3 buy-in, waived with your initial deposit. The top 1,380 teams (from up to 6900 entries) win cash; first place earns $1,000. The entry deadline is 7:30 ET — it’s a Late contest that does not include the 7:00 game between Oklahoma City and Dallas.
Paul George $9000 does nearly everything for the Pacers while his teammates take turns chipping in. Monta Ellis $5600 is affordable and with Ian Mahinmi $3800 (back) less than 100%, Lavoy Allen $2800 will try to help against Jonas Valanciunas $6000. The big man has been Toronto’s best player so far, with Kyle Lowry $8000 in a shooting slump and DeMar DeRozan $7200 ineffective. Cory Joseph $3300 and Patrick Patterson $3400 lead a strong Raptors bench.
Russell Westbrook $10900 and Kevin Durant $10200 will be out for revenge tonight. There’s no way KD shoots 7-for-33 again. Serge Ibaka $5900 or Steven Adams $3900 may be the best bang for the buck.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks are running out of bodies. Dirk Nowitzki $6100 (knee) and Deron Williams $4900 (hernia) are officially questionable and J.J. Barea $4800 (groin) is doubtful. Tired veterans Raymond Felton $4700 and Wesley Matthews $4500 might have to play 48 minutes. Salah Mejri $2700 was much better than Zaza Pachulia $3600 on Monday.
Nothing against the expensive superstars, but I want PG-13, Klay and Dray in every lineup at those prices. After trying to decide between JV and Howard at C, I settled on both. That leaves three spots to fill for a bit less than $4000 each, with Livingston and Iguodala the top two choices. For the remaining $3800 (or less) at G, it’s a tossup between CoJo and Devin Harris $3300, who gains value if D-Will is ruled out.
